Music Classes are well established now on Tuesday pm’s in St Bricin’s.Please Note -There will be no classes during Midterm break on Tuesday, October 28th. Some upcoming Activities:
1.Seanós Dancing for children & adults on Saturdays in Goods Store 3.30 p.m.-4.30 p.m.
2.Secondary school children  – Banjo Workshop in Town Hall – Saturday October  25th – 3.00 p.m.-6.00 p.m.
3.Teen Trad. Session in Horseshoes on Sunday November 2nd   8.00 p.m. -9.30 p.m.
4. Adult Trad Session in Flynn’s – Friday November 7th @ 9.00 p.m.

1.Admission fee adults 5 euro/pounds. Non competitive children free admission

 2.Registration for all competitions commences @ 9am  closes 9.45am sharp

3. Competitions for all ages commence at 10am sharp

 4.Competition fees 3 euro/pounds per each solo competition, Duets &Trios 3 euro/pounds per member

 5.* Bodhran competitiors must have their own music accompaniment.No pre-recorded music permitted for bodhrán competition.

 

Rules/Rialacha

  1. Performers may not enter more than one age category for each competition.
  2. Each competitor must be accompanied by an adult
  3. If 2 tunes required the tunes must be 2 contrasting pieces eg. Jig & reel etc.
  4. The adjudicators’ decision is final & no appeal will be allowed
  5. Strictly No photography video mobile phone audio recording permitted
  6. Mobile phones must be silenced during competitions
  7. Entry & exit in & out of competition room is not permitted during performances.
  8. Belturbet Comhaltas are not liable for loss or damage to instruments or property
  9. Cars parked at owners risk.
  10. All perpetual prizes must be signed for by an adult providing address & contact details for return the following year.

Wishes to thank everyone who supported its activities during 2013- special thanks to all our wonderful musicians and parents for their dedication and co-operation. Music classes are finished for 2013 and will resume on January 7th. All welcome to end of year Ceol le Chéile this Tuesday, December 17th in St Bricin's College from 6.30 p.m. -7.30 p.m. ,when we will have our Christmas Raffle Draw. Please note there will be a Trad Session with special guests, the recently formed Cavan Uilleann Pipers Group, in The Seven Horseshoes on Sun. Dec., 22nd @ 9.00 p.m.
