We meet every Friday from 7.30 to 9pm (during the school term) upstairs in the Town Hall in Belturbet.
Our ethos is to provide a safe place for young people to hang out, meet new friends and have a voice. What makes our club so special is that it is run by the young people themselves.
Club members elect a club committee (chairperson, secretary, public relations officer, treasurer) that work with members and is supported by the leaders to run the club. We decide what games we play and what events we are going to (and how we are going to raise funds). This ensures the members are doing activities they really want to do and will get the most from their time in the club.
Breffni Integrated is working with Belturbet Community Development Association and Foróige to try and start a Foróige Club Youth Club in Belturbet. There are huge benefits for young people and for the town in setting up a new club. Breffni Integrated will be holding an initial meeting in Belturbet on Wednesday 8th June from 8pm-9pm in the Town Hall for new leaders- Belturbet Foróige – poster for leaders meeting
We will be looking for people who are willing to train with a Foróige Development worker to be leaders of the club. Training is provided free of charge and becoming a leader can also help leaders gain new skills and work experience.

There are a number of ways that a Foróige club can be set up and these are outlined below. We will be considering what is the most appropriate type of club for Belturbet at our first meeting.
